Welcome to your pilates journey! I can’t wait to work with you!

About Pilates

Pilates is a full-body workout that focuses on building strength, improving flexibility, and enhancing the mind-body connection. It’s the perfect antidote to our hectic, modern lives. It’s a low-impact exercise, which means it’s gentle on your joints, making it a great option for people of all ages and fitness levels, whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned athlete.

The best part? You don’t need to spend hours in the studio to see results. Just a few sessions a week can make a huge difference in how you feel and move. You’ll notice improvements in your posture, strength, and flexibility. Plus, Pilates teaches you to breathe properly and focus on your body, which can be a major stress-buster and confidence booster.

What You’ll Gain from Pilates:

Increased Strength: Build lean muscle and develop a stronger core.

Enhanced Flexibility: Improve your range of motion and move with ease.

Improved Mobility: Enhance your joints’ ability to move freely and pain-free.

Greater Body Awareness: Learn to control your movements and connect with your body.

About Sonja

Sonja is thrilled to be supporting the Pilates community of Baltimore! While Sonja has worked professionally in the non-profit world for her whole career, she has a kinesthetic understanding of the body and the ways it can move because of her years of dancing. She first started taking Pilates classes 15 years ago after the birth of her second child and fell in love! Her passion for Pilates grew over the years, and through her third pregnancy, and she believes it is a way to connect and reconnect to your body in an ever evolving way. Sonja is educated in the STOTT PILATES method, trained in Mat, and on the Reformer, Cadillac, and Chair and is working on adding additional apparatus and specialized training in injury and aging. Sonja’s desire is to help people move with continued strength and ease through all stages of life.
